Event Summary

Every girl dreams of a fantasy wedding gown “a la” Cinderella or a fairy tale princess. Designer Eva Haynal Forsyth made those dreams come true. At one time, she designed for Vera Wang and later her label read, “Scaasi Bride for Eva Haynal Forsyth.” Eventually, in her own design studio, she created beautiful one-of-a-kind gowns. Priced in the thousands, they were fit for any princess. Forsyth creations could be found at the exclusive Kleinfeld Bridal in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Neiman Marcus. The fabrics she used were luxurious tulles, silks and satins, many embellished with lace and pearl or sequined beading.

She kept a selection of her designs when she retired. Recently, her husband, Robert, offered 41 gowns for the Gowns & Glory, a vintage bridal gown auction that took place July 4 benefiting Upstate Warrior Solution.

Some of Eva Haynal Forsyth’s beautiful gowns are still available.
