ELYSIAN’s Predictions for 2019

With 2018 coming to a close, we’re already on the lookout for what’s going to be big in the coming year.

These six trends have been popping up across Spring 2019 runway shows. They’re all so versatile we know these trends will dominate the boutiques in 2019.

1.
Prairie Dresses

Spring in 2019 will be taking a page out of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s book with floor length, breezy prairie dresses. Prairie meets punk when you pair your sweet and simple lace dress with utility vests, biker boots and dusty chinos. (We’re especially in love with Batsheva’s new collection.)

2.
Stay Golden

Stay marigold in this new year with a new take on the gusty and bold yellow hue that colored  Spring 2019 runways across the globe. Also dubbed “aspen gold,” this color is poised to be huge this year, especially in seasonally appropriate crochet dresses and long silk suits.

3.
Tie-Dye Comeback

Tie-dye is getting a grown-up update this year with subtle ombres of dip-dyed denim, dresses, and co-ords. Expect washed out denim ensembles and delicately blended hues in dresses.

Feather Fever

Birds of a feather will flock together this season. Feathers will make an appearance on everything from slinky evening gowns, coats, skirts and suits. These fanciful embellishments enhance any outfit—try not to fly too close to the sun.

Shield Shades

With the skinny sunglasses trend finally coming to an end, eyewear will take a complete 180. Indeed, celebs and style influencers have already been spotted with massive and reflective shield sunglasses that will cover most of your face.
