Danielle Rollins, ELYSIAN Inspiring Woman, designer at 2nd Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach 2019

Like a fairy godmother of feminine design, she transformed one of the five bedrooms into a rosy reverie.

Danielle Rollins of Danielle Rollins Interiors was one of 22 designers who flocked to Palm Beach, Florida to take over The Fountain House: a 5-bedroom, 7 bathroom, Mediterranean-style villa situated along the Intracoastal Waterway.

This conglomerate of design visionaries is the task force for the 2nd Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach, an extension of the Kips Bay Decorator Show House started in New York in 1973. Proceeds from the event benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County and Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club.

The selected designers were each assigned a portion of the 10,000-square-foot property to use as a canvas for their creative conceptions. No space, however small, was left untouched by a plethora of bold colors, wall hangings, side tables, throw pillows and other décor. From the entryway to the poolside patio, every inch of the residence was doused with the inventions of a different designer’s eye. Some, like the powder room, make use of dim lighting to give the space an antiquated castle-esque feel, while others, like the dining room, employ sheer curtains draped over floor-to-ceiling windows to invite in natural light.

Rollins’ room is one of the most Palm Beach-esque. Like a fairy godmother of feminine design, she transformed one of the five bedrooms into a rosy reverie. Crisp white sheets, accentuated by a pink geometric design, dress the canopied bed. A large floral oriental rug covers the floor; on top sits a plush pink couch and two upholstered pink chairs. A bamboo side table acts as a bar cart in between.

From minimalist to lavish, each of the spaces in The Fountain House serves as an exhibit, a taste of its designers’ preferences, given inspiration from the architectural design of the house and its location in West Palm Beach. The showcased house, which opened January 26, will remain on display until February 20, 2019. Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
