ELYSIAN Impact Launches First Effort with Silent Tears

ELYSIAN Impact advocates for women and children.

In 2013, Silent Tears was formed to systematically address the complex issues associated with women and children who have been victims of violence and sexual abuse: fragmented support systems, the culture and politics of South Carolina and lack of attention.

In June, ELYSIAN Impact announced its partnership with Silent Tears, as well as plans to donate $5 million to fund the capital needs of organizations statewide, including 17 children’s advocacy centers of S.C., rape crisis and domestic violence centers. This donation was made possible by the generosity of the founders of Silent Tears, the Castellani family.

This effort in conjunction with Silent Tears will be the first in a program of ELYSIAN Impact Partner Initiatives, creating a template that will be replicated and rolled out across mission-driven and charitable organizations nationwide. The best practices developed here in South Carolina will reach national audiences and will affect even greater change. Impact giving and philanthropy are foundational concepts of ELYSIAN and core to our ELYSIAN Circle of Inspiring Women. Time and again, we have discovered that the indefatigable sense of purpose, passion and determination underpinning the career achievements of the Inspiring Women featured in our magazine also drive a heartfelt commitment to giving back. Our desire to build a legacy and our shared responsibility to the next generation underscores women-driven philanthropy.

It is with this in mind that we formed the philanthropic arm of ELYSIAN, ELYSIAN Impact, a series of initiatives that will work with philanthropies to enhance their connection with our ELYSIAN Circle of Women, a network of accomplished female thought leaders with national and international influence who care deeply about issues affecting women and children.
