Du jour jusqu’à la nuit à St. Tropez
By Rhonda Wilkins
There is nothing quite like summer in the French Riveria. For many years, I have traveled to the azure shores of St. Tropez for sun, sea and the French sense of joi de vivre. As I begin the drive down the coast from Nice, I’m filled with the familiar excitement of what lays ahead—perusing the fresh markets of Place des Lices; languid lunches spent with friends at Club 55 on Plage de Pampelonne; visiting the high-end ateliers (Rondini is a must!) and fashion houses of Paris and Milan, tucked away along narrow shopping passageways; or heading down to the harbor to source exquisite, one-of-a-kind goods, such as beautifully handcrafted linens, by Tropézienne artisans.
This dreamy port city is a place that, avant tout, puts me instantly at ease and will always hold a special place in my heart.
