Balmain Dazzles with their Fall/Winter 2018 Collection at Paris Fashion Week

Founded by French couturier Pierre Balmain in 1945, for decades Balmain was known for glamorous, beautiful gowns and daywear. Enter Oliver Rousteing in 2011 who has unapologetically pushed the label into the edgier side of couture, with designs that exhibit a distinctly downtown vibe. Today at Paris Fashion Week, Rousteing did not disappoint with the label’s Fall/Winter 2018 presentation. Models were sent down the runway in an iridescent display of futuristic metallics, holographic sequins, and PVC. Counterbalancing the high shine factor were trademark Balmain pieces such as casual, ripped-denim pieces, logomania sets, and crewneck sweatshirts.
