Burberry Beauty Takes the Stage at London Fashion Week

To mark the departure of Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer, the landmark British brand celebrates individuality with 84 beauty looks at London Fashion Week

After 17 years with the brand, Christopher Bailey, chief creative officer and president of Burberry, put on his final show on Feb. 17, 2018 at London Fashion Week. Dedicated to LGBTQ+ youth, the show raised money for three organizations that give support and funding.

The show was a wave of color and pattern with many fabrics being pulled from archives of 1970s and 80s designs. The show one was one of spectacle, one of vividness – full of amazingly unique characters, using traditional designs and techniques to reach a conclusion that is entirely fresh.

With diverse models and striking silhouettes punctuated with rainbow patterns, it was only fitting that makeup be used ever-so subtly. Light concealers such as the Cashmere Concealer were used to bring out models’ natural beauty, and the season’s new water-based Fresh Glow Gel Stick enhanced natural radiance. Makeup choices were given great consideration when it came to the model in question. Some models were done up with striking cheekbone contours, and others were given majestically Full Brows.
