Maribel lives in Soho in New York City with her daughter Angelina and her lovely pug, Willow. Her passion for confections started when as an 8-year-old child she would make sugar candies and sell them to neighborhood children in her native Honduras.
Maribel’s New York story began at the Parsons School of Design, where her love for fashion and design would take her on a jaunt in the fashion industry, followed by five years running her own elegant catering company – Maribel’s Gourmet Cuisine. This paved the way for her discovery of chocolate as a lifelong passion.
