On Thursday, September 5th, ELYSIAN Impact will once again roll out the red carpet for the second annual CatWalk FurBaby at Sony Hall in New York City. This highly anticipated event promises to be even more extraordinary than last year’s, bringing together philanthropic organizations, global designers, and our cherished furbabies for a cause-driven fashion extravaganza.
What Is CatWalk FurBaby?
CatWalk FurBaby is no ordinary fashion show—it’s a unique fusion of style, compassion, and competition. The event is centered around the five pillars of ELYSIAN Impact: Animals, Children, Women, Service, and the Environment. Each of these components will be represented by a dedicated team comprising a model, a designer, a charity, and, of course, a furbaby. As each team struts down the runway, the charity’s mission will be highlighted, offering a powerful blend of fashion and philanthropy.
A Look Back at Last Year’s Show
Last year’s inaugural CatWalk FurBaby event set the stage for what would become an iconic annual celebration. It brought together an inspiring mix of creativity and charitable giving, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended. This year, we’re raising the bar even higher, with an expanded lineup of participants and even more ways to support the causes that matter most.
What to Expect This Year
The 2024 CatWalk FurBaby event kicks off with doors opening at 10:00 AM, and the show starting at 11:00 AM. We’re thrilled to announce that Chloe Jane, a renowned electronic dance-pop DJ, will be setting the mood with her vibrant beats before unveiling a special surprise she’s been working on exclusively for the event.
As the show progresses, the competition heats up. Attendees and viewers alike will have the chance to vote for the People’s Choice Award, while a distinguished panel of judges selects the Judge’s Choice Award. Additionally, the Publisher’s Choice Award will be chosen by the publisher of ELYSIAN Magazine, ensuring that every angle of the show is celebrated.
Adding to the excitement, Fern Mallis, the award-winning creator of New York Fashion Week and an icon in the fashion industry, will be our emcee for the day. Her presence promises to bring a touch of elegance and expertise that only she can provide.
Merci Dupre Clothiers: Fashion Rooted in Science
In the second half of the show, the spotlight will turn to Merci Dupre Clothiers from DRC Ventures. This brand, founded by Dr. Rahm, is dedicated to combining style with science to create protective clothing that shields against environmental threats like toxins and UV rays. Since their debut at last year’s event, Merci Dupre Clothiers has expanded its reach across five continents, and this year, they’ll be showcasing two looks from each continent, demonstrating that fashion can be both functional and fabulous.
