The YELLOWSTONE Season 4 finale drew the largest cable TV series audience since 2017—a staggering 11+ million viewers. “YELLOWSTONE continues to shatter records with more than 11 million viewers tuning in to the season finale, proving we’ve hit a cultural nerve—from the center of the country to each of the coasts—and still have lots of room to grow linear,” said Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of ViacomCBS Media Networks.
Though unconfirmed, there is speculation that Season 5 will begin filming in May and be released in the fall of 2022. Fingers crossed. Meanwhile, comfort yourself in the YELLOWSTONE prequel, 1883, on-demand on Paramount +. The first three episodes have aired and after a brief hiatus, episode 4 premieres January 9. The 10-episode prequel stars Sam Elliott, and the multitalented real-life married couple (married 25 years) country singer Faith Hill and American country singer, actor, guitarist and record producer Tim McGraw. 1883 possesses the same power, moral ground, and intensity as YELLOWSTONE and any difference in “feel” can be attributed to the time period. You don’t want to miss this. However, if you’re pining for the contemporary Dutton family, go onto the Paramount Network and watch the cast member’s interviews and observations. And if that’s not enough, listen to the OFFICIAL YELLOWSTONE PODCAST, available on Apple, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and Amazon Music.
