Celebrating the Autumn Culinary Issue Launch at Château Frontenac

August 10, 2026

On Friday evening, August 7, ELYSIAN welcomed Inspiring Women and Aspiring Women from around the world to one of Québec City’s most storied settings, the legendary Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, for an extraordinary celebration marking the launch of ELYSIAN’s Autumn Culinary Issue.

At the center of the evening was Autumn cover model Jolana Nika of Los Angeles, the renowned nutritionist, wellness authority, and fitness expert whose sought-after expertise has made her a trusted advisor to some of the most recognizable names in entertainment. Her presence was especially fitting for an issue devoted to the many ways food, wellness, culture, and connection enrich our lives.

Perched high above Québec City with magnificent views of the St. Lawrence River, Château Frontenac provided a setting of almost cinematic beauty. Guests gathered in one of the landmark hotel’s magnificent turret rooms, where crystal chandeliers, ornate fireplaces, and old-world architectural details created an atmosphere that felt at once intimate and spectacular. Beyond the windows, the St. Lawrence stretched toward the horizon, while the Monument to Samuel de Champlain stood against the historic Québec City landscape.

It was the kind of setting that made the evening feel suspended in time.

The room carried a remarkable history of its own. During World War II, Château Frontenac famously hosted the Québec Conferences, where Allied leaders gathered to discuss military strategy and the course of the war. To celebrate ELYSIAN’s Autumn Culinary Issue within walls that have witnessed consequential moments in world history lent the occasion an unmistakable sense of place and made an already memorable evening all the more extraordinary.

Yet amid the grandeur, history, and breathtaking surroundings, the heart of the celebration was something beautifully simple: coming together.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed an elegant array of culinary offerings created by the talented chefs of Château Frontenac, presented in a relaxed tapas-style experience and complemented by exceptional wines and artfully crafted cocktails. The evening invited guests to move, mingle, taste, and connect, discovering new flavors while enjoying the company around them.

Conversations flowed, laughter filled the room, and women representing different cities, countries, professions, and generations found themselves exchanging stories and forging new connections throughout the evening.

It was ELYSIAN’s mission brought vividly to life: women inspiring women.

Throughout the celebration, guests exchanged ideas, experiences, and stories, demonstrating the remarkable things that can happen when women from different worlds gather with curiosity, generosity, and a genuine appreciation for one another.

And perhaps that is the true magic of food.

Food is never simply what is placed on a plate. It carries memory and heritage, culture and creativity. It tells the stories of families, places, and generations. It creates an invitation to pause, to experience, and to connect.

A shared taste can spark a conversation. A new flavor can inspire curiosity. And an evening of exceptional food and company can create memories that linger long after the final glass has been poured.

As evening settled over Québec City and the St. Lawrence River shimmered beyond the château windows, the message at the heart of ELYSIAN’s Autumn Culinary Issue seemed beautifully clear: the most memorable culinary experiences are ultimately about far more than food. They are about the people who create it, the stories behind it, the places that inspire it, and the connections made along the way.

In one of the world’s most enchanting cities, within one of its most iconic hotels, ELYSIAN celebrated food, friendship, extraordinary women, and the enduring pleasure of gathering together.

It was an evening of exceptional cuisine, spectacular surroundings, and unforgettable conversation, and the perfect beginning to ELYSIAN’s Immersive Tasting Weekend. It was also a fitting celebration of a timeless truth: the most meaningful culinary experiences do more than delight the senses. They create connections that last.
