Chanel Beauty Launches Platform to Ignite Creativity
High-end fashion house tend to be wary of fully embracing their fans and devotees via social media, opting instead for glossy photos and little in the way of interaction. Not Chanel. Inspired by the breadth and beauty of user-generated content by their ever-loyal brand devotees, Chanel has launched @welovecoco, an Instagram feed that will be filled with photos, videos and tutorials by real fans of the products they feature.
To celebrate the launch of its new Instagram, Chanel is putting out a call to all beauty and makeup lovers: “Wear Red and Attack.” The tagline for their Beauty House pop-up in a historic West Hollywood home is vivid, eye-catching and edgy – just like the lip colors they will offer. With more than 50 lip color products on sale and makeup artists on deck to help with application, the Chanel Beauty House is going to be a hit with beauty influencers and enthusiasts alike.
Over the past couple of years, the fashion world has seen a surge in interest in lip colors and how to harness the perfect blend of color, moisture and texture. The Chanel Beauty House will feature themed rooms (“Provoke in Pink” or “Declare in Coral”) and plenty of Instagram-worthy backdrops for selfie-taking. The event is sure to be sold out before the day is over.
