Elysian Magazine wins the 2021 Ozzie Award

by Elysian Magazine

OCTOBER 14, 2021, NEW YORK, NEW YORK. ELYSIAN, the dynamic luxury lifestyle magazine uniquely created to inspire and reflect the interests of women over 40, was announced the winner of a coveted OZZIE AWARD at the 2021 FOLIO: EDDIE & OZZIE AWARDS annual banquet in New York City. The most prestigious recognition program in the publishing community acknowledges excellence industry-wide in editorial content and design across print and digital media. A panel of more than 300 judges narrowed more than 2,500 entries into a pool of 800 finalists. Only 262 awards were given out across 33 categories in four main categories: EDDIES and EDDIES Digital for the best in print and digital editorial, and OZZIE’S and OZZIE’S Digital for the best in the magazine and website design.

ELYSIAN was announced the winner in the OZZIES’ most competitive category, “Design, Single Magazine Issue, Consumer.” Among the13 finalists in that category were Magnolia, Parents, and People, all published by Meredith Corporation, the fourth largest publisher of consumer magazines in the United States after Time, Inc., Hearst Magazines, and Conde Nast Publications.

Receiving an EDDIE for content writing, or an OZZIE for graphics and design is not just a pat on the back among people in the same field. It is a confirmation by your peers that your work stands head-and-shoulders above the rest. It is a validation to the staff that their vision, and the readership they target, are right on track; and for the corporate parent and investors, a golden ticket they can cash in to attract new advertisers and increase their subscriber base.

“We are incredibly honored to have won an OZZIE AWARD in the category of best magazine design, and immensely proud of our creator-in-chief, Ryan Stalvey, whose masterful artistry is the visualization behind the ELYSIAN brand,” said Karen Floyd, publisher of ELYSIAN.
