Catherine Edwards is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Corix Infrastructure Inc., which owns and operates water, wastewater, district energy, electricity, and gas distribution utilities across North America.

With nearly $2 billion of assets under management and more than 1,300 utility systems in operation, Corix’s utility systems are under a variety of delivery and governance models. Through ongoing development and expansion activities. Catherine is responsible for all aspects of the operations, strategy, and financial performance of the company’s North American utility businesses.

Catherine joined Corix in 2018 and brings more than 27 years of combined legal, regulatory and executive management experience to her role. Previously, she served as the chief executive of the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, the state’s public health and environmental protection agency. Prior to her role at DHEC, Catherine spent over 11 years with Duke Energy, serving in various legal and executive management capacities until her last role with the company as president of its South Carolina operations.

Catherine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors from the University of South Carolina, a law degree from the Ohio State University School of Law and an Advanced Management Program certificate from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
