Lights, Camera, Parties! The Best and Brightest Bashes of 2024 Oscars Week

The 96th annual Academy Awards were the culmination of another thrilling competition in the entertainment industry. However, Just as exciting were the legendary fêtes of Oscars Week leading up to the big night that emerged as equally victorious.

Starting off things right were the annual Green Carpet Fashion Awards on March 6th. The event champions people and organizations that embody roles in the sustainable landscape of fashion. Expected guests include GCFA Founder Livia Firth, Event Co-Chairs singer, songwriter, activist and founder of The Circle NGO Annie Lennox as well as Helen Hunt and Zendaya. Even Emmy winner Jennifer Coolidge made a surprise appearance.

Canada hosted their 2024 Oscars celebration with Consul General of Canada, Zaib Shaikh. Kristine Stewart was guest of honor alongside Telefilm Canada. The event was held in collaboration with The National Board of Canada.

Then lucky attendees at the 18th Annual Oscar Wilde Awards were happy to celebrate together on March 7th. The crowd gathered at Bad Robot in Santa Monica to honor Richie Baneham, Pierce Brosnan and Molly Shannon.  The likes of J.J. Abrams, Katie McGrath, Dana Delaney, Ava Duvernay and James Cameron were at the casual, intimate party hosted by the US-Ireland Alliance, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the relationship between the countries.

Women in Film hosted the 17th Annual Women In Film Oscars Nominee Party on March 8th at Catch Steak LA. The remarkable honorees in front of and behind the camera this year were celebrated with the likes of Lily Gladstone (Lead Actress, “Killers of the Flower Moon”), Justine Triet (Director, Original Screenplay, “Anatomy of a Fall”), Luisa Abel (Makeup & Hairstyling, “Oppenheimer”), Maite Alberdi (Documentary Feature, “The Eternal Memory”), Robbie Brenner (Best Picture, “Barbie”), and more. The WIF Oscar Party was presented by Max Mara and sponsored by ShivHans Pictures and Johnnie Walker.

The British Consulate Oscar Nominee Reception took place on March 8th at a private residence where it was also the Celebration of GREAT Women in film. British Consul General Emily Cloke welcomed U.K. nominees and paid tribute to their impact on film and television. A reception toasted women in production with a costume display from “Barbie” along with a portrait gallery paying homage to some of the women making an impact in the industry. GREAT Britain and Northern Ireland co-hosted the event.

GBK Brand Bar’s 15th Annual Pre-Oscar Luxury Lounge had a new home at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel this year and took place from March 8th until March 9th. The invite-only event Presented by CARE A2+ hosted Oscar nominees and presenters who received over $100,000 in various gifts including travel getaways, electronics, jewelry, wine, and much more.

DRC Ventures founder, Dr. Christina Rahm was on hand to showcase the company’s wellness products. These included Rahm Roast coffee, Zero-in, Natural Barrier Support, Immune Defense Shield and copies of Dr. Christina’s books, Cure the Causes and her newly released book, Roots of Military Science: Understanding the intersection of conflict, mental health and wellness.

Another hot stop was the invite-only party held by Netflix to honor nominees at Sunset Tower. It was a grand affair that was the talk of the town.

Sunday saw a full itinerary for luminaries out and about in Hollywood during the ceremony. Elton John AIDS Foundation hosted their 32nd annual Academy Awards viewing party. John’s Partner David Furnish joined along at the party as well as Neil Patrick Harris with David Burtka and Tiffany Haddish. The Gabriels performed an electrifying set.

Other notable moments were when Universal Pictures and Focus Features toasted “Oppenheimer” and “The Holdovers” together at Soho House, and Netflix held a post telecast party at Mother Wolf.
