Lights, Camera, Compassion: CatWalk FurBaby Continues to Raise Funds and Awareness

by Amber Edwards

The second CatWalk FurBaby (CWFB) documentary is set to premiere on February 6, 2025, at the National Arts Club in New York City. This highly anticipated film offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the creative process that made the second annual CWFB fashion show a standout event at New York Fashion Week on September 5, 2024. Hailed by Forbes as “warm, inclusive—and dare I say it, fun,” the show was a harmonious blend of fashion, philanthropy, and furbabies, leaving audiences inspired and entertained (read more here).

The documentary, produced by a passionate and dedicated team from Spartanburg, SC delves into the heart of CWFB, shining a spotlight on the designers, the furbabies who stole the show, and the charitable causes they championed. This year’s participants showcased unparalleled creativity and compassion, bringing together the worlds of high fashion and heartfelt giving. Designers, participants, and fans will come together at the premiere, turning the event into a grand celebration of innovation and generosity.

The National Arts Club screening will also mark the launch of ELYSIAN’s 2025 Spring Philanthropy & Fashion Issue, which celebrates the designers, furbabies, and charities featured in the September show. This issue captures the magic of the event while emphasizing the ongoing mission to make a difference through fashion.

Following the success of the first CatWalk FurBaby documentary—which won Best Documentary at the 2023 NYC International Fashion Film Festival hosted by Marc Bouwer—the second installment is poised to raise the bar even higher. The film not only tells the story of a fashion show but also serves as a powerful tool for philanthropy. ELYSIAN is providing screening rights to all participating philanthropic organizations, enabling them to host watch parties as a way to kick off their fundraising campaigns. These watch parties can stand alone as fundraising events, further amplifying the reach and impact of the documentary.

“The documentary allows us to go beyond the runway,” says Karen Floyd, Founder and Publisher of ELYSIAN. “It’s a platform to celebrate the creativity, compassion, and community that define CatWalk FurBaby. By sharing this film, we’re empowering organizations to raise awareness and funds for their causes.”

Attendees of the February 6 event will be among the first to experience this exclusive screening and explore how fashion can inspire meaningful change. To join the ELYSIAN Circle and RSVP for this remarkable evening, click here.
