Global Fashion Powerhouse Opens enormous LOUIS VUITTON Savoir Faire Pop-Up in Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD. September 11, 2021.  French luxury goods maker Louis Vuitton took over all three of Goya Studios’ production stages and transformed it into an appointment-only luxury showcase to offer for sale its custom couture fashions, handbags, and trunks to Los Angeles’ rich and famous.  If you want to go, hurry.  The temporary pop-up unpops on September 25.

Stage One is redolent of a Parisian apartment.  The enormous space is replete with chandeliers, French doors that open to a trompe l’oeil view of the Eiffel Tower, and an array of gowns you may have seen at the Academy Awards worn by actresses such as Lupita N’yongo, Julianne Moore, and pictured below, the Louis Vuitton black halter-neck gown with metallic braid worn by actress Nicole Kidman to the 2021 Gold Globes.

Featured in the Hollywood pop-up is furniture from the new “Louis Vuitton x Fornasetti Collection” alongside stacks of the luxury manufacturer’s trademark Jacquard print trunks.

Stage Two is designed for the athlete, with a leather foosball table, black pool table, and a “LVxNBA” trunk covered, fittingly, in basketball skin.

Enter Stage Three and you’re on Malibu, complete with a lifeguard tower, views of the Pacific, and a custom surfboard designed by artist Alex Israel, designer of LV’s perfume bottles. Here you’ll find furniture designed by Damien Langlois-Meurinne, Tokujin Yoshioka, and Fernando and Humberto Campana) and bags in classic styles includes Sac Plats, Keepalls, and Capucines.

Louis Vuitton is the first to launch an immersive “see now, buy now” shopping experience for VIP clients.  It’s roadshow pops-up next to Atlanta, Miami, and Saint Barthélemy in the French Caribbean.
