We were privileged to also have Blake Barrios of the esteemed Blake Barrios & Rebellium Studio bring his love of philanthropy, vision, and expression to life, through the creation of the hand-painted magnum of the Zakin. Using oil paints, Blake created a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted rendering of Jan on a 2019 Magnum of Zakin Reserve wine. Barrios, often collaborating with non-profit foundations, musicians, athletes, and vintners, among others, is known to create a bottle that will fetch the highest bidding from discerning connoisseurs and art critics alike.

The renowned live artist Amy Burkman treated the audience to the speed paintings of both the front and back covers, of the ELYSIAN’s Fall 2022 “Travel & Technology” Issue. The longer painting, beginning with a blank canvas was transformed in front of an audience of over one hundred people over a two-hour span. Then, in ten minutes, to the cadence of music, the cover image took place before our eyes. Amy “speed pained” an upside-down painting which was turned right side up, to the audience’s surprise as they gasped at the remarkable composite of the front cover of Jan Zakin herself. A magical experience for everyone!
